Fluorten brings ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EN 9100 under DNV – Fluorten

Fluorten brings ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EN 9100 under DNV

As part of the three-year renewal of its certifications, Fluorten has chosen to bring all major certification schemes related to its management system under a single certification body. Starting in 2026, the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EN 9100 certifications have been transferred to DNV, which has already been Fluorten’s certification body for materials and products intended for food contact.

The decision reflects Fluorten’s commitment to making its management system even more consistent and structured by bringing under a single certification body areas that represent key aspects of its operations: quality, environmental management and specific aerospace requirements.

Quality, environment, aerospace and food contact: four areas, one common approach

For a company that develops and manufactures technical components in PTFE and high-performance polymers, quality management is not limited to inspection of the finished product. It involves the entire process, from material selection to design and industrialization, from machining and processing to inspection, as well as information management and process traceability. Within this approach, certifications represent a concrete and important element of Fluorten’s process management and ongoing quality assurance.

  • ISO 9001 defines the requirements for a quality management system and provides the framework for organizing and controlling quality-oriented business processes.
  • EN 9100 introduces specific requirements for organizations in the aerospace supply chain, integrating quality management principles with the needs of an industry characterized by high levels of reliability, traceability and process control.
  • ISO 14001, on the other hand, addresses the environmental management system and provides a structured framework for managing the environmental aspects associated with a company’s activities.

These certifications are complemented by the Food Contact certification, which was already entrusted to DNV and remains part of Fluorten’s certification framework for applications involving food contact.

Bringing these certification schemes under the same certification body therefore makes it possible to manage, through a single point of reference, a set of certifications covering different areas that are nevertheless closely connected to the company’s overall management system.

Choosing DNV

Fluorten chose DNV because of its international presence and established experience in the industrial sectors in which Fluorten operates.

Having ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EN 9100 certifications under DNV allows the certification process to be managed through a single certification body, providing greater consistency in audit planning and management system monitoring. For Fluorten’s customers, this means having a certification framework verified by a single internationally recognized organization, making it easier to identify and verify the requirements applicable to different areas of supply.

A path that supports Fluorten’s evolution

Over the years, Fluorten has expanded its expertise, target markets and ability to manage applications with increasingly specific technical requirements. In this context, certifications provide a concrete reference for the company’s organization and ongoing process monitoring, while maintaining them requires periodic verification by an independent organization to assess the continued compliance of management systems with the requirements established by each certification scheme.

The decision to bring ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EN 9100 certifications under DNV is therefore part of a broader path in which the structure of Fluorten’s management systems and their external verification support the company’s evolution and the industries it serves.

For customers, this means having a management system that is easier to consult, with a single point of reference for requirements related to quality, environmental management, aerospace and food contact. This contributes to making the relationship with Fluorten even more transparent and structured, particularly for customers who need to assess and qualify suppliers based on specific requirements and standards.

For customers, partners and other stakeholders who wish to learn more about Fluorten’s certification framework, documentation for the individual certification schemes is available in the dedicated section of the website, together with information on their respective scopes of application.
